Samantha Reeves (Somerville, Tenn.) earns her first GSC Player of the Week honor.
- The redshirt junior averaged 24 points and 9.5 rebounds while playing only 27.5 minutes per game during a 1-1 week for CBU against West Florida and North Alabama.
- She scored 20-plus points in consecutive games for the first time in her career and now has five career 20-point games.
- Reeves scored 22 in a 58-55 loss to West Florida last Monday.
- She completed the week Saturday with a double-double 26 points and 14 rebounds, both career highs, in an 81-69 win over North Alabama. During her 29 minutes of play, she added a block and assist in the game, while shooting 77 percent from the field (10-of-13). Six of her 14 rebounds were on the offensive glass.
- The double-double is her second of the season and third of her career.
- For the week, Reeves shot 58 percent (18-of-31) from the floor and 77 percent from the charity stripe (10-of-13).
- Reeves’ 14.1 points per game leads CBU and is seventh in the GSC.
