Chelsey Rhodes (Monticello, Ark.) earns her second-straight GSC Player of the Week honor and second of her career.
- The senior helped the Lady Statesmen to another 2-0 week as they opened Gulf South Conference action with wins at West Georgia and West Alabama. DSU is now 5-0 for the first time since 2012-13.
- She recorded her second 30-pllus point outing in a 57-51 win over West Alabama, netting 33 points, three assists and four steals.
- Rhodes started the week with a 10-point performance at West Georgia.
- She is now ranked No. 25 on the Delta State all-time scoring list with 1,303 career points.
- For the week, Rhodes averaged 21.5 points, 1.0 rebound, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists per game.
- Delta State (5-0) will return home to Cleveland, Mississippi this week to host Christian Brothers Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT, and then No. 11 Union University on Saturday.
