Chelsey Rhodes (Monticello, Ark.) earns her first GSC Player of the Week honor of her career. The senior helped the Lady Statesmen to a 2-0 week with wins over Great American Conference members Harding University and No. 15 Arkansas Tech. Rhodes set career-highs with 34 points and eight rebounds against Harding on Friday, Nov. 27, and then added 13 points in the win over No. 15 Arkansas Tech on Saturday. She averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Her three 3-pointers moved her to third on DSU’s a career list for 3-pointers made. Delta State (3-0) will travel open GSC action at West Georgia on Thursday. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. ET.
