Shorter running back B.J. McCoy repeats as the Offensive winner, thanks to another impressive rushing effort in SU’s home loss to Valdosta State in Thursday night’s GSC-TV game. The junior carried the ball 26 times for 256 yards for a 9.9 per-carry average. He also added two touchdowns headlined by an 81-yarder with 8:53 left in the game. The Villa Rica, Ga. native’s rushing total was the seventh-highest in league history and was the most by a GSC player since 2010. His 81-yard scamper also tied for the eighth longest in the GSC record books.
