Delta State’s Sarah Mumme is this week’s Gulf South Conference Women's Cross Country Freshman Runner of the Week. 

The Holcomb, Miss. native was DSU’s top runner at the Choctaw Open in Clinton, Miss., finishing eighth overall via a 5K time of 19:44.79.  She finished as the Lady Statesmen’s top runner for the fourth straight meet and her time logged-in as the 20th fastest in school history.
