Union goalkeeper Kristen Francis (So.; Edwardsville, Ill.) was named the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Defender of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Francis turned in two shutouts on the week, registering five saves in each match, while facing a total of 24 shots, against both Delta State and Mississippi College.
 
Francis has now earned GSC Defender of the Week accolades twice this season, having previously done it 9/29.
