Union goalkeeper Kristen Francis (So.; Edwardsville, Ill.) was named the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Defender of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Francis helped Union to a 2-0 performance against two conference opponents last week. She turned in two clean sheets, collecting 20 saves on 39 shots, including an 11-save effort versus West Florida.
