West Alabama’s Tyreek Hill was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week is UWA’s first Special Teams winner this year, sparking the Tigers’ to a 33-21 triumph at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The senior tied a GSC record by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns in a single-game. Hill extended West Alabama’s lead to 22-13 at 1:33 in the third quarter, bringing back a kickoff 74 yards for a score. The Douglas, Ga. native etched his name in the record books with 12:12 left to play when his 78-yard TD return upped UWA’s lead to 28-19. For the game, Hill racked up 206 all-purpose yards thanks to 34 rushing and 20 on punt returns.
