West Georgia’s Marcus Sayles earns his second all-time accolade, first since 2013, and is UWG’s third consecutive Special Teams winner. The junior cornerback set a school record with two blocked punts, which led to a pair of Wolves’ TDs in their 57-27 home triumph over Fayetteville State. The Alpharetta, Ga. native’s first block came in the second quarter and was recovered at FSU’s five-yard line. UWG’s offense made quick work of the field position, taking an 8-7 lead via a TD and a two-point play. Next, Sayles got his hand on another punt in the third quarter, which was recovered at FSU’s 29-yard line and was then converted into another touchdown.
