Alabama Huntsville defensive specialist Haley Hop (Fr.; Madison, Ala.) was named the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Hop totaled 86 digs over four contests last week as UAH improved to 9-0 on the season.  She had at least 17 digs in each match, including a 28-dig effort against Georgia College. She averaged 5.38 digs-per-set and offered up 22 helpers.
