Delta State outfielder Jacob Swiney (Jr.; Biloxi, Miss.) was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Swiney  went 8-for-13 (.615) with a homerun, double and five RBI over four games last week, including a 5-for-5 showing in the series finale against Alabama Huntsville.
