Alabama Huntsville infielder Kaitlyn Bannister (So.; Albertville, Ala.) was named the Gulf South Conference Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Bannister went 4-for-9 (.444) from the plate, launching two homeruns with six RBI over three games against Shorter last week. She logged a total of 10 bases and scored two runs.
