Alabama Huntsville infielder/outfielder Brandon Lawing (Sr.; Huntsville, Ala.) was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Lawing went 5-for-8 (.625) with two homeruns, two doubles and seven RBI in two games against Mississippi College last week. The hometown product sported a .727 on-base percentage to go along with a 1.625 slugging percentage.
