ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2016 VisitSpaceCoast.com Gulf South Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be held on campus sites and at a neutral site. Post-season action starts with the Quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 2 at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The Semifinals and Finals will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5 at the Pete Hanna Center on the campus of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. The GSC and Prier Construction have partnered to provide $1.00 of each ticket purchased to the Neverthirst International Well Project.
Last year, No. 1 seed Alabama Huntsville won its second GSC Men's Basketball Title, first since 2012. The Chargers topped in-state rival No. 3 seed West Alabama for the third time during the season, 73-68. A complete recap of last year's finals can be found here

Union made the most of its first year of an official GSC member, securing its first-ever Women's Basketball crown via a 62-50 triumph over Delta State. Both squads shook off cold shooting in the first hafl, combining for 82 points in the final 20 minutes. A complete recap of last year's finals can be found here
