KEY MOMENT
After eight scoreless innings, West Alabama jumped out to a four-run ninth inning, highlighted by a two-run double by Daniel Bolte, for the come-from-behind victory over West Florida.
QUOTABLE
"Walker O'Connor is a terrific pitcher who had our number. Thankfully, we were finally able to put some hits together late in the game," UWA Head Coach Gary Rundles said. "West Florida came in here today, ready to play and that's a credit to them and Coach (Mike) Jeffcoat."
NOTABLE
West Florida's Walker O'Connor, prior to the eighth inning of today's game, had thrown 23-straight scoreless innings over his last four appearances, one of which included a seven-inning shutout against this same West Alabama team.
