KEY MOMENT
The middle innings proved valuable for West Georgia as the Wolves pounced on West Florida scoring two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

QUOTABLE
“We have to give West Georgia credit today,” said UWF head coach Mike Jeffcoat. “They played very well. They swung the bats well. We made some errors that let them keep scoring runs. We fought back and scored a couple to make it 7-4, but it wasn’t our night. We’ve got to regroup, come back and try to show some pride out here tomorrow.”

NOTABLE
West Florida's Chase Kiefer (22) and Ledarious Clark (19) are ranked 1-2 in steals, respectively, in the GSC. The team has a combined 72 thefts, which is also good for the conference lead.
