KEY MOMENT
GSC Player of the Year Colton Simbeck belted a three-run shot to left to put UAH up 3-2 in the sixth, but back-to-back bombs from Valdosta State's Mike Reed and Michael Gouge in the eighth tied it up.
QUOTABLE
“Today’s the type of game that can get a team going, especially after a rough weekend to end the regular season like we had," Said UAH Head Coach Hunter Royer. "Koger threw extremely well and competed hard to get us deep into the ballgame, which is something we needed.”
NOTABLE
The first of three GSC Tournament games today tabbed the 2013 GSC Tournament Champions, Valdosta State, versus the 2014 Champions in Alabama Huntsville.
UP NEXT
Alabama Huntsville will take to the field at 7 pm (CT) and take on the winner of West Georgia versus West Florida. Valdosta State plays at NOON against the loser of West Alabama and Delta State.
