Former UWF standout Keith Savage continues professional soccer career

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.  
– Former University of West Florida men's soccer student-athlete Keith Savage has signed a professional contract to continue play with the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the North American Soccer League. Savage has been a part of the Rowdies organization the past four seasons and will start his fifth in April.
 
In four seasons with the Rowdies, Savage has made 96 appearances with 87 starts and has scored 12 goals mainly playing as a central midfielder.
 
Savage played at West Florida from 2003-07, and ranks as one of the highest scoring players in UWF men's soccer history. The Gulf Breeze, Florida native ranks third in goals (47), tied for first in assists (25), and tied for second in points (119). Savage is one of two players in UWF history to be named NSCAA All-America First Team and is the only three-time NSCAA All-South region member.
 
The Rowdies will open the 2015 season on April 4 against the San Antonio Scorpions, and will open the season at home  on April 11 against Minnesota United FC.
