2015 All-GSC women's soccer announced

Birmingham, Ala. West Florida turned in a conference-high six student-athletes on the 2015 All-GSC Women's Soccer Team, North Alabama's Chloe Richards again earned top player accolades, announced on Monday.
 
West Florida led All-GSC selections with a total of six student-athletes on the 32-member team, including four on the First Team. Christian Brothers had five total, including a league-high four on the Second Team, while both Lee and North Alabama had four each. For LU, all four on the First Team. UNA had two First Teamers and two Second Teamers. Union placed three on the team, while Shorter, Alabama Huntsville, Valdosta State, West Alabama and West Georgia, all had two each make the team.
 
GSC Player of the Year
North Alabama forward Chloe Richards earned GSC Player of the Year for the second-consecutive year. She again led the GSC in goals (29), points (60), goals-per-game (1.73) and points-per-game (3.6), ranking second in all of NCAA Division II in all said categories, except gpg, of which she currently leads the nation. The senior scored in all but two matches this regular season, which included nine multi-goal performances and a five-goal outburst against Shorter (9/23). With 70-career goals, she currently stands second all-time in UNA program history.
 
GSC Co-Freshmen of the Year
North Alabama forward Kylie Huey and Christian Brothers midfielder Melissa Tammi both earned GSC Freshman of the Year accolades. Huey scored seven goals and registered four assists for an 18-point regular season. She was second on UNA in points. Tammi turned in a 10-point season, scoring four goals with two assists. She scored the game-winning goal against Valdosta State in a 1-0 victory on 9/18.
 
GSC Coach of the Year
Lee interim head coach Chris Hennessey was named the GSC Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Flames to an 11-4-2 record, including a 10-2 conference record. No. 25 LU, which was voted the GSC Preseason Favorite by the head coaches, and in its first season of NCAA Division II eligibility, earned a national ranking by the NSCAA, and will enter as the second seed in the GSC Tournament as it will kick off its first-ever NCAA DII postseason.
